We
slept well last night in the Royal Pavilion Hua Hin in
Hua Hin.
The breakfast is as we remember from the
last time, good but not too extensive.
Today we want to go to Paknam Pran Buri, the port of
Pran Buri.
We drive there in about 45 minutes and then arrive at a piece of beach near a fishing port.
We don't know exactly what we want to see, but this is definitely not it.
We drive a bit further on a whim and then we come to a long, narrow beach with a boulevard
along it.
We follow the boulevard, a few kilometers long, and there we see more and more hotels and
restaurants.
It is not really busy there, not even like in
Cha-am, but it is a nice place if you want to walk or cycle.
And then something falls from under the dashboard of the car onto Tom's foot, and it turns
out to be a large toad.
We stop along the road at a place where plants grow, and we try to get the toad out of the
car.
The toad wants to do that too, and so we quickly see the animal disappear between the
plants.
We come to a mountain that juts out into the sea, Khao Kalok, where there is a nice piece of
beach, and a good hundred meters further on a temple.
We will stop there on the way back.
The road along the coast continues, but we hardly see any buildings anymore, so we turn
around.
The temple, where we stop now, is nice to see, especially because they are working hard on a new temple building. The part of the beach is also nice, we now see how long the beach is, but Pia only wants to stay there for a short while because of the sun.
On the way we saw a Lotus's and Pia wants to do some
shopping there, we get there with a detour.
And then we mainly buy a lot of dried food to take back to the Netherlands.
Back in Hua Hin we park the car at the hotel and walk to a restaurant where we ate bami last
year.
That has now become a supermarket, and as a result we eat at a vegetarian bami restaurant
across the street.
Vegetarian there means that they do not sell dishes with meat but they do sell dishes with
fish.
Then we walk, after Pia bought a hat, to Royal Thai Massage where we have been before. It is a good massage.
On the way back we see a restaurant that we could not find on the previous trip, Hua Hin
Italian-Thai Restaurant.
The owner recognizes us, and he tells us that the restaurant has been moved.
We go for a drink at Sea Side Restaurant Hua-Hin and decide that we do not feel like eating
at the night market, it will be Hua Hin Italian-Thai Restaurant.
We eat deliciously, even though the beef is gone.
Pia has a cold so we go back to the hotel on time.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
